Getting the game

You can launch the game using Java WebStart by clicking here: Play the game!
If the WebStart link doesn't work, you probably need to upgrade Java
The current game version is 1.2.

Joining a game

After entering your name, you will be in the lobby. From here, you can choose a game to join. You can see how many players are in each game based on the numbers to the far right of the game's name. When you click the Join game button, you will be taken to the game of your choice. If there are fewer than 3 people in the room, the game will wait until there are more people before starting.

Playing the game

Each round, you are presented with a picture for which you have 45 seconds to come up with a caption. At the end of that time, all the players vote on the caption they like the most. You cannot vote for your own caption. Each vote you get is worth 1 point for the first half of the game, 2 for the second half, and 3 for the final around. If you don't vote for anybody, you cannot get any points for the round, even if others voted for you. After 7 rounds, the player with the most points wins and the game starts over.
Additional help is available in the game by pressing F1 or selecting Help from the Help menu.

There's nobody playing! Now what?

This game is spread entirely by word of mouth. More than likely, you found it from a forum thread somewhere. Until the game becomes more popular, you may need to find your favorite, fairly active online community or a group of friends, and invite people to play with you.

Submitting pictures

Have a picture that you think would be great for the game? Email it to mrmarmoset@hotmail.com. I might just put them in the game! More pictures for everybody!

Uninstalling the game

If you are using Windows, you can uninstall the game in the same way you uninstall just about every other program.

Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs

Scroll down the list (it should be near the bottom) and find Words That Follow. Select it, and then click the Remove button. Follow any instructions that are given (usually a prompt asking if you are sure you want to remove it) and it will be gone.

You'll be back, though. They always come back.
